Martyn grew up in Devizes and studied at Devizes School before completing an Honours Degree in Cell Biology and Immunology at Plymouth University. He later studied Dentistry at Bristol University, where he also undertook PhD research focusing on the molecular biology of virus infections and human oral cancer. Following this, he carried out post‑doctoral research into Human Papilloma Virus oncology before qualifying as a dentist in 1991. He has published extensively in peer‑reviewed journals and has contributed to several textbooks.
Over the past three decades, Martyn has developed a special interest in Implantology and oral surgery‑related procedures, including CT‑guided implant treatment planning. His clinical experience includes carrying out surgical placements under IV sedation and working in oral surgery departments at RAF Wroughton and the Royal United Hospital in Bath. He also holds an honorary clinical role in the Oral Surgery Department at Solihull Hospital in Birmingham.
Martyn has been involved in placing, restoring and teaching Implantology for more than 25 years. He has placed a significant number of dental implants during his career and continues to support other clinicians through teaching and mentoring in areas such as guided bone regeneration and sinus lift techniques.
Since joining the Freeman & Rosser team in 2017 as a part‑time implant clinician, Martyn has focused on providing carefully planned and co‑ordinated implant care. He aims to build strong relationships with his patients and draws on both his clinical and academic experience to support predictable, evidence‑based treatment planning.

Dental Practitioner

Eryl qualified as a dentist in 1982 at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. After qualifying, she worked at the University Hospital Dental School in Cardiff, later taking up posts at the Middlesex Hospital in London before returning to Cardiff to lecture in paediatric dentistry.
In 1985 she co‑founded Freeman & Rosser, originally based in Neyland, Pembrokeshire. The practice later moved to Carmarthen in 1989 and expanded into its current premises in 1992.
Eryl continues to maintain a particular interest in paediatric, endodontic and restorative dentistry. She is able to communicate with patients confidently in both Welsh and English, helping to support a comfortable and accessible experience for a wide range of patients.
Outside her clinical practice, Eryl enjoys gardening, spending time with horses, and being outdoors in the countryside.

Hanna qualified as a dentist in 2008 at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. She completed her vocational training in Aberystwyth and has continued to practise throughout West Wales since then.
Hanna joined the Freeman & Rosser team in March 2017. She is able to communicate with patients in both Welsh and English, helping to support clear and comfortable discussions about their dental care.
She is committed to keeping her knowledge up to date and regularly undertakes further training to support her continued development. Alongside providing routine dental care, Hanna has an interest in cosmetic treatments, including tooth whitening, composite bonding and crown work.
Outside of dentistry, Hanna enjoys a range of outdoor pursuits.

Rebeca qualified as a dentist in 2012 from the School of Dentistry at Cardiff University. She completed her foundation training in Swansea and has continued to practise in the Swansea and South Wales area for more than ten years. She joined the Freeman & Rosser team in October 2022.
Alongside her clinical work, Rebeca is an educational supervisor on the Wales Dental Foundation Training Programme, a role that involves supporting and guiding newly qualified dental practitioners as they begin their careers.
Rebeca provides a full range of routine dental care and aims to create a calm and approachable environment for her patients. She has an interest in cosmetic adhesive dentistry, including tooth whitening, composite bonding and clear aligner treatments, and continues to broaden her skills through ongoing professional development.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time outdoors, travelling, walking, and nature photography.

Simeon Davies graduated from the School of Dentistry at Cardiff University in 2013 and completed his vocational training in Cardiff. After working in NHS dentistry for several years, he completed a one-year training programme at Guy’s Implant College in Cardiff and has since continued to practise in the South Wales area. Simeon joined our team at Freeman & Rosser in July 2023.
He has a special interest in Endodontology, Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, Implantology, and Periodontology. He completed a PG Diploma in Endodontology in 2024 and a PG Diploma in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in 2025. He is currently undertaking a PG Diploma in Implantology and a part-time Master’s in Periodontology.
Simeon provides a full scope of routine dental care, ensuring his patients receive high-quality treatment in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Outside of dentistry, Simeon enjoys hiking, exploring the countryside with his dog, and travelling to experience different cultures.

Hygienist

Anne first joined the Freeman & Rosser team in 1996 as a trainee dental nurse and soon went on to qualify in this role. In 2006 she chose to develop her interest in hygiene and periodontal care by undertaking the Dental Hygiene course at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
She qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2008 and returned to Freeman & Rosser Dental & Implant Clinic, where she now works part‑time.
Anne regularly updates her clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development, helping her to support patients in maintaining good oral health.
Outside of her clinical work, Anne enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the South West.

Hygienist

Laura originally qualified as a dental nurse in 2012. She later chose to develop her interest in hygiene and periodontal care and went on to complete the Dental Hygiene course at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
She qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2017 and joined the Freeman & Rosser team in October 2020, where she now works part‑time.
Laura continues to update her knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development, supporting patients in maintaining good oral health and developing daily habits that contribute to healthy smiles.
Outside of her clinical role, Laura enjoys spending time outdoors, going on long walks, and exploring new places with her family and their Collie, Bryn.

Lizzie originally qualified as a dental nurse in 2019 before choosing to pursue her interest in hygiene and periodontal care. She went on to complete a Dental Hygiene degree at the University of Portsmouth, qualifying in 2024.
She joined the Freeman & Rosser team in September 2024 as a part‑time Dental Hygienist.
Lizzie is committed to continuing her professional development and regularly updates her skills to support patients in maintaining good oral health and developing effective daily hygiene routines.
Outside of dentistry, Lizzie enjoys spending time outdoors, horse riding, running, and exploring new places with her dog, Leo.

Head Dental Nurse

Lynda joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental nurse in February 2012 and went on to qualify in 2014. Following this, she took on the role of Head Dental Nurse, supporting the coordination of the nursing team and day‑to‑day clinical operations.
She is committed to her ongoing professional development and has completed further training in implantology, radiography, and fluoride application.
Lynda works closely with all clinicians across the practice and plays an important role in supporting both patients and colleagues throughout the course of treatment.
Outside of her clinical responsibilities, she enjoys being part of a team that is focused on delivering organised and attentive patient care.

Trainee Dental Nurse
Rhian joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental nurse in September 2024. She is currently working towards her qualification through a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.
Rhian works alongside all our clinicians and provides a warm, friendly welcome. She is able to converse with patients in both Welsh and English.

Trainee Dental Nurse
Grace joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental nurse in March 2025. She is currently working towards her dental nursing qualification and is enthusiastic about developing her skills in clinical practice.
Grace supports all our clinicians and is known for her bubbly yet reassuring manner, helping to ensure patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits.

Trainee Dental Nurse
Katie joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental nurse in June 2025. She is currently working towards her dental nursing qualification and is enthusiastic about developing her clinical skills.
Katie works alongside our clinician, Hanna Jones, and our hygienists. She provides patients with a kind, warm welcome and is able to converse in both Welsh and English.

Trainee Dental Nurse
Rebekah joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental nurse in December 2025. She is currently working towards her dental nursing qualification and is enthusiastic about developing her skills in clinical practice.
Rebekah supports all our clinicians and is known for her calm and reassuring manner, helping to ensure patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits.

Dental nurse & Receptionist

Alex joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a qualified dental nurse in August 2020. She works alongside all of our clinicians, supporting patients throughout their appointments and assisting with a variety of clinical procedures.
Since joining the practice, Alex has applied her dental knowledge in both her nursing role and on reception, helping patients during their time with us and supporting the smooth running of the clinic.

Head Receptionist

Natasha joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a qualified dental nurse in May 2015. She works alongside all of our clinicians, supporting patients throughout their visits and assisting with a wide range of clinical procedures.
Over the years, Natasha has drawn on her dental knowledge to support both her clinical and reception duties, helping patients throughout their time in the practice.
In October 2019 she took on the role of Head Receptionist, where she helps to coordinate the front‑of‑house team and ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Receptionist

Kelly has been part of the Freeman & Rosser team since 2000. She originally joined as a trainee dental nurse and qualified in 2002.
Throughout her time at the practice, Kelly has used her experience in dentistry to support both her clinical responsibilities and her work on reception. Her dual role allows her to assist patients in the surgery as well as help them during their visits to the front desk.

Practice Manager
NEBDN, 2008
Kylie joined the Freeman & Rosser team as a trainee dental surgery assistant in 2006 and qualified in 2008. She later took on additional responsibilities within the practice and became Assistant Practice Manager before being appointed Practice Manager in May 2018.
In her role as Practice Manager, Kylie supports the day‑to‑day running of the clinic and oversees the coordination of both clinical and administrative teams. She is committed to ensuring the practice operates efficiently and that patients receive organised and consistent support throughout their visits.
